I'm Rob, I'm Director for ECOM in the North (England).
Based out of our Manchester office, I've been with InterQuest Group for nine and a half years now and I've been recruiting in Manchester in the digital and tech sector for over 17 years.
ECOM's northern office is as I say based in Manchester.
Where are you located?
We're in the Bonded Warehouse just on the edge of Spinningfields.
It's an old warehouse. It's a real centre of creative and technology business.
It's a great, thriving place to be.
Tell us about your team
The culture here at ECOM is a very grown-up one and a very collaborative one, really focused on working together while we all have our own individual goals that we're working towards.
We understand that if we work together as a team, we're more likely to achieve our own personal goals and ultimately the team's goal together, and it's a real grown-up culture.
You know, you're given the autonomy and the flexibility to achieve your goals in the way that you want to achieve them in the way that you can.
We understand that everybody works slightly differently and operates differently.
That said, there is the support there for anyone that's starting their career or even experienced people that need a bit of extra support and help.
All the support is there as well when you need it.
What is your key market?
ECOM work across some of the most in-demand areas of digital and technology.
Very roughly split into 5 sectors.
So, what we would call technology, which is effectively people that build digital products that would be software developers, software engineers, testers, QA, DevOps platform people.
We have our product teams that are the people that help run the agile processes and help in building digital products. So, product owners, product managers, business analysts, scrum masters and we have the design team, so our design team recruit for UX, UI, user research designers.
On top of that we have our data team and we also have our marketing team.
Who do you work with?
Our clients are a mix of e-commerce companies, big digital-first businesses, software houses, digital agencies and then the digital teams within larger corporations.
Who are you looking for?
I'd be keen to speak to anyone looking to further their career in recruitment, or maybe to start their career.
