Credit Analyst- Flow and Specialist Car

InterQuest are looking for an Asset Finance Underwriter to join a UK-based financial services specialist. Supporting a diverse range of customers across various products and services
You will play a crucial role in ensuring responsible lending practices while maintaining a strong risk framework. You will assess new business proposals, build strong stakeholder relationships, and contribute to a high-performing team that delivers exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and recommend new business proposals in line with credit risk appetite and lending policies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal teams and external broker panels to ensure smooth lending operations.
- Collaborate with Asset Management teams to evaluate asset suitability and market risks.
- Work closely with the KYC and Financial Crime teams to identify and mitigate fraud risks.
- Participate in projects, attend meetings, and support ad-hoc tasks as required.
About You
- Extensive experience within the Asset Finance industry.
- Strong background in credit underwriting, ideally with a delegated mandate.
- Ability to work within regulated environments, handling high volumes of proposals while meeting strict SLAs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, people-focused approach with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- A keen eye for detail, ensuring compliance with risk frameworks and lending policies.
