Join Our Team as Head of Operational Risk!

Are you a seasoned risk management professional ready to lead a dynamic Operational Risk team? We’re hiring a Head of Operational Risk to support our clients Chief Risk Officer in overseeing and enhancing the Second Line of Defence for a well-respected financial institution. This is the perfect role for a Senior Manager looking for their next step!

Hybrid: 2 days in the office

Hours: 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering Operational Risk inputs for regulatory requirements like COREP and ICAAP.
• Developing a Second Line risk monitoring plan.
• Driving engagement on risk awareness and best practices across the organisation.
• Leading oversight of policy dispensations and risk events, ensuring appropriate escalation and reporting.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years’ experience in operational risk within retail banking or building societies.
• Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk management frameworks.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to build strong relationships and inspire a high-performing team.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills to engage audiences at all levels.
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach and the ability to think strategically.
