I am supporting a fast-paced, innovative consumer lender in their search for a talented Head of Compliance and Risk. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to lead their compliance and risk framework, ensuring the business operates at the highest regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement across the organization.

The Role
As the Head of Risk & Compliance, you will:
- Embed Compliance Culture: Drive a strong compliance culture aligned with FCA requirements, ensuring all aspects of the business reflect integrity and regulatory excellence.
- Develop Risk Frameworks: Oversee and enhance the risk management framework, identifying key risks and supporting the Board and Audit & Risk Committee in addressing them effectively.
- Regulatory Expertise: Monitor regulatory developments, conduct horizon scanning, and provide expert guidance to business areas to ensure full compliance.
- Consumer Duty Oversight: Lead the firm's approach to Consumer Duty, including delivering the annual Consumer Duty Report.
- Training and Support: Deliver compliance and data protection training while collaborating with teams to explore new market opportunities, products, and pricing strategies.

About You
- Proven experience in compliance and risk leadership, including SMF 16 status.
- In-depth knowledge of FCA regulations.
- A track record of implementing and managing compliance frameworks and risk strategies within financial services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, including the Board.
- Organized and analytical, with expertise in regulatory reporting and compliance monitoring.
