We are working with a Central Government client searching for a Lead Java Engineer on a fixed term contract basis. The Lead Java Engineer must have extensive experience using java within government and prior experience taking responsibility for teaching others by coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.

Must Have:

• Active Security Clearance.

You will:

• Use the agreed specifications to design, code, test and document programs or scripts of medium-to-high complexity, using the right standards and tools
• Work with other disciplines to understand what needs to be built
• Coach and mentor more junior colleagues
• Select appropriate design standards, methods and tools, and ensure they are applied effectively
• Apply modern development standards and support others in applying them
