Liquidity Risk Assurance Manager

InterQuest are supporting a well-established banking client who are seeking a highly skilled Liquidity Risk Assurance Manager to support the development of the operating model, including defining roles and responsibilities within the broader Treasury Risk Assurance function. The successful candidate will take a leading role in assisting with assurance reviews for Liquidity Risk and will be responsible for delivering insightful updates to teams and key stakeholders regarding their findings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise, advice, and guidance to Risk and Control Owners, while offering effective challenge to their risk management processes.
- Challenge Risk and Control Owners on key aspects such as inherent risk, residual risk, control effectiveness ratings, issues, actions, and events.
- Support targeted assurance reviews and in-depth assessments of end-to-end processes for high-risk metrics.
- Collaborate with business teams to identify and manage emerging risks that may require changes to controls, resources, or business operations, ensuring they stay within acceptable risk thresholds. Additionally, work with Internal Audit teams to understand the impact of their reviews on the control environment.
- Work closely with teams both onsite and offshore, with a focus on training offshore team members.

Key Requirements:
- Experience in Liquidity Risk reporting, gained either through working in Regulatory Reporting teams in the First Line of Defence or in Internal/External Audit.
- Proven experience in liaising with senior stakeholders regarding Liquidity Risk, with the ability to clearly communicate findings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to present risk management discussions in terms that resonate with business needs.
- A solid understanding of internal compliance procedures and standards.
