Our client is seeking a highly skilled Programme Manager to lead the technology workstream within their Legal SaaS Transformation Programme. This transformation initiative is set to revolutionise the client’s legal operations by implementing a cutting-edge Legal SaaS platform, streamlining workflows, and introducing future-proof operational efficiencies.
About the Role
As the Programme Manager, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of the technology components of the Legal SaaS Transformation Programme. Working in partnership with the delivery partner, you will manage key milestones, oversee technical deliverables, and ensure smooth navigation through the client’s technology governance and assurance framework. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent stakeholder management skills and a proven track record in programme execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the technology workstream plan, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality, and budget.
- Oversee the RAIDD log and ensure appropriate resource allocation within the technology workstream.
- Jointly manage the technical delivery and quality assurance of the Legal SaaS tool and supporting documentation.
- Provide oversight and quality assurance for deliverables from the programme’s delivery partner.
- Coordinate input from Group Technology and other business units into key deliverables, including technical design, integration strategy, and support operating model.
- Ensure the client meets its obligations in technical assurance and testing of the Legal SaaS system.
- Act as the primary liaison between the client’s Technical Owners and Group Technology teams, ensuring clear alignment on resourcing and integration timelines.
- Lead the technical design, sourcing, implementation, and migration of a legal contracts archive, including decommissioning legacy contract hosting systems.
- Support contract migration efforts and the retirement of legacy archiving tools, working closely with the Programme’s Solutions Architect.
- Oversee Hypercare support for each rollout wave of the Legal SaaS tool.
- Ensure the Service Management design is fit for purpose and effectively implemented.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer to Group Tech teams to enable seamless BAU support for the Legal SaaS platform.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Professional Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (desirable) or equivalent experience.
- Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) preferred.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience in programme and project management, overseeing complex interdependencies in multi-year transformation initiatives.
- Proven ability to engage, influence, and build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including senior executives.
- Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting to C-suite level stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Skilled in supplier management and building long-term, effective partnerships.
- Experience with risk tracking, risk management, and governance frameworks.
- Proficiency in project management tools (Smartsheet experience preferred) and Google Suite applications.
- Experience in legal transformation and/or the media industry is highly beneficial.
- Experience in implementing Legal SaaS systems or document management solutions is highly desirable.
