ServiceNow Technical Support Consultant - Permanent - Hertfordshire - up to £60k base + benefits

We're seeking a talented ServiceNow Technical Support Consultant to join our client's onsite team in Hertfordshire. You will be required to be onsite in their Hertfordshire head office at least 2 days per week (Tuesday and Thursday)

Their ServiceNow IT Service Management system is a critical 24/7 system and used both internally as well as with end Customers and Third parties around the world and this role is more support based than development (only needing about 20% development most of the time) and is focused on bug fixing and around incident and change management so would suit a mid-level product owner or someone who has supported ServiceNow at an end client..

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Deliver innovative solutions to support business needs through configuration and development.
  • Issue Resolution: Efficiently escalate and resolve support issues, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Platform Management: Oversee the deployment and maintenance of App and Plug-in upgrades (Team Connect, CISCO Smart Bonding).
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor ITSM platform performance and conduct regular patch testing and maintenance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Development and GIS teams to analyze, document, and report on work completed.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide less experienced colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Security Compliance: Adhere to strict security policies and report any potential security risks.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • ServiceNow Expertise: Proven track record as a ServiceNow Developer or Administrator with a deep understanding of best practices.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong command of web and platform technologies (XML, JavaScript, JSON, HTML, CSS).
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
